2015 Retrospective
So another year to reflect on, It’s funny where this photography thing takes you and the amazing opportunities it presents. My first job of the year was at the Swindon Arts Centre shooting Duran Duran guitarist Dom Brown and his band Blue to Brown. Quite a surreal change from my day job training Air Traffic Controllers to discussing the best producer for the new Duran Duran album!! Dom’s bass player is a mate of mine, Phil Spalding. Phil has quite a CV, having played on some of the finest albums of the 80’s and 90’s. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy4mXZN1Zzk,) We got back together in the summer to shoot some publicity shots with another of his former bands, Right said Fred to help promote his Hep C charity work .(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KcTE2hFUZw)
I’ve been really lucky to cover some fantastic weddings and also travel a fair bit again this year. In May we revisited the Hotel Monnaber Nou in Campanet Mallorca where Julie and I got married 11 years ago. It’s one of my favourite places, a real chill out location in the Tramuntana mountains. The usual Ibiza madness in the summer followed by a flight over to Mallorca again to surprise my nieces. The rest of the summer was taken up with the Royal International Air tattoo and a few more weddings. In December we took a trip out to Dubai and Qatar to meet up with some friends who’s wedding I shot in 2014 and also to meet up with 2 couples who’s weddings I’ll be shooting this year.
The following is a collection of some of my favourite images taken over the past year – a blend of wedding, travel, music and personal work. Thank you everyone who follows my work. It means everything to me. Happy new year.
