The Royal International Air Tattoo 2016
For one weekend every July Kempsford, the small Cotswold village where I live turns into a mass of camp sites and one way traffic systems as RIAT comes to town. The largest military airshow in the world, RIAT attracts aircraft and enthusiasts from far and wide to RAF Fairford and this year was no exception with 230 aircraft attending from 24 countries including the first international display of the RAF’s next generation fighter aircraft the Lockheed F35B Lightning.
