Nick Porter Photography

Hi, and thanks for visiting my website.
Having trained as a graphic designer, only to realise I wasn't particularly good at drawing I spent the next 20 years working as an air traffic controller. Being fortunate enough to work at various airports around the world I developed a keen interest in photography and in particular documenting my travels and aviation related subjects.
In 2004 Julie and I got married in Mallorca, we chose a brilliant photographer called Claire Matches to document our wedding. Her images and creativity really inspired me and planted the seed for wedding photography. Life, as ever had other plans and it's only in last two years that I've had the opportunity to take time out from my current job as an air traffic control instructor to shoot weddings.
I'm used to dealing with high pressure and love photography and wedding cake, what could be a better job!
Having now settled in Gloucestershire, I live in Fairford in the Cotswolds with my wife Julie and cats Charlie and Stanley and divide my time between working in Gloucestershire and Bournemouth in Dorset.
